An audio track on the other hand, is used when you want to record a real instrument. Fade Audio In GarageBand For Mac A seemingly simple thing to do is GarageBand is have your track or song fade in or out. But finding the method for doing this can be difficult. A fade is an automation. To fade, you need to show automations and then edit the automation line to change the volume over time.

You can automate volume changes over time using automation curves. When you show track automation, each track’s automation curve shows the volume level over time. You can create volume changes by adding automation points, and dragging them to different values.

Track
  • Tap a track header, then tap Automation.

The tracks expand vertically and a volume automation curve appears over each track.

Mar 18, 2016  By creating slopes in between points, you can automatically adjust the volume as the track plays, creating a fade-in or fade-out effect. With sharp drops, you can effectively mute certain areas of a track. If you click the dropdown menu, you can see a list of the options you can automate. Once that's on you can select from a dropdown whether you want to change volume, echo, reverb, etc. Then you click on the actual waves on the track and a coloured line will appear. Clicking along the line creates break points, and you can move either points or the line segments between points to shift the volume. Sep 06, 2017  In the old GarageBand, the volume would usually be too loud on the MP3 track, but now it is the opposite. I have tried adjusting the Master Volume and the Track Volume in GB and have still had no luck. The volume problem happens when I export a track containing only Apple Loops.
